Best Makeup Products For People Who Don’t Wear Makeup
I love makeup but walking into Ulta or Sephora can be extremely intimidating even for someone who knows what they want.
Lucky for you I’ve spent A LOT of money finding the perfect make up products that are appropriate for all occasions.
BEST MAKEUP PRIMERS
Before I started using primer I thought that it was something only necessary for celebrities to use but I was wrong (go figure). Primers prepare your skin for a perfect makeup application by filling fine lines and smoothing pores; it also keeps your makeup looking fresh all day.
I use the Original shade because it blends with any skin color once it dries invisible. On a typical day I wear a thick, dark line of liner on my top lid along with shadow, this primer keeps my liner and shadow separate and I don’t get gross creases on my lids throughout the day.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! This oil-free primer leaves your skin looking flawless and feeling velvety smooth by filling in fine lines and pores. My makeup lasts hours longer when I use this primer in the morning. Absolutely worth the additional cost!
It happens to the best of us, we wake up one morning and BAM blemishes sprouted up over night and because you rubbed your eyes once in second grade you now have permanent redness under your eyes. This is exactly why concealer was created and these are my favorites.
I love tarte brand makeup (as you’ll soon see). To me, all of their products are extremely clean and work so well. Maracuja means passion fruit in the Amazon, this concealer is made of maracuja and other rich antioxidants that provide a smooth and creaseless look. Since this concealer comes out a little thicker I use this when my blemishes are extra bad. Did I mention that this concealer is waterproof too?
This is my everyday concealer, again, I love tarte. One reason that I love this concealer so much is because it is made from Amazonian clay. Since using this product I can tell a big difference in my skin, my blemishes clear up fast and stay concealed longer throughout the day.
BEST EYE SHADOW
I’d go out on a limb and say that 90% of makeup wearers have heard of the Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow line. There are currently five variations of this palette but the Naked2 palette is my absolute favorite. I mix these shades together and they work for every occasion -you can literally NOT mess up these colors!
Y’all this eyeliner is EVERYTHING. Any preconceived notions that you may have about pencil eyeliner need to be erased. This eyeliner smoothly glides on your lids similar to a liquid eyeliner and it keeps the dark black color all day!
The perfect mascara -to me- doesn’t clump, stays on all day and won’t completely kill your lashes once you take it off. Here are two of my favorites:
bareminerals, of course, is made with minerals so you know that this product won’t ruin your lashes. The twisty brush helps curve your lashes up which provides an elongating affect and helps separate your lashes to prevent clumping.
I am wearing this mascara as we speak. If I was stranded on a island this is the one piece of makeup that I would bring with me, I am OBSESSED. The formula separates lashes and creates thickness and curling that cannot be duplicated.
I have searched high and low for a really good liquid foundation that doesn’t clog my pores or make me feel cakey throughout the day… Urban Decay for another win! This foundation was really easy to match with my skin and once it is applied I often forget that I am wearing foundation at all. I’ve also noticed a difference in my skin once I switched to this foundation, I don’t get as many blemishes but when I do get a blemish it often clears up much faster than prior to using this foundation.
BEST BRONZER & BLUSH
What is with the glitter that is slowly being phased into our blushes and bronzers? I don’t need to look like Ke$ha in the club every time that I put on makeup.
This is the perfect trio of bronzer, highlighter and blush. The three colors match together perfectly and because they are all in the case it lightens to load of your makeup bag. The only issue that I have with this product is that my bronzer ran out significantly sooner than my highlighter and blush which is why I found my next product in the first place.
I didn’t realize until now that this can be used on your “body” but I only use this bronzer on my face. Of course it is matte because I don’t need anything to make my face look shiner than it is already.
I hope this cheat sheet to makeup buying is helpful! Comment below and let me know what are some of your favorite makeup products!
