Y’all, Christmas is THIS WEEK! Do not risk the situation of someone giving you a gift and you’re stand empty handed and embarrassed. I cannot stress the awesomeness of Degustbox enough!
Imagine you tell someone that a box of 10 to 15 full-size surprise products will arrive at their doorstep every month! If that was me I would die! Anddddd, if you use my exclusive code (KLV6D) you get 50% off your first box!
How weird is it that I was excited when I saw these two products in my Degustabox? Ever since I can remember I have always wondered how icing can stay “fresh” in those pint sized tubs. Pillsbury removed all of the coloring, preservatives and artificial flavors in their Purely Simple collection which (to me) means that it is healthy thus this cake doesn’t count… right?
Have you ever snacked on dried beans? Me either, so I really had no idea what to expect when I opened these Simply Peppered Kala Beans. Good news, these dried beans are delicious! Think corn-nut. These beans would the perfect topper to a salad or a great addition to a trail mix.
When I pulled out these honey straws from my December Degustabox I thought that this was a really odd item. Flavored honey? I’ll be totally honest with you, tasting mint chocolate honey was not the most delicious thing that I have ever tasted. If I was more of a honey eater then I could very easily see how these honey straws would bring convenience! These honey straws might even be great for kids!
Let me preface this by telling you that I do not have a sweet tooth… at all. But when I do crave sweets I crave very traditional items: chocolate chip cookies, Twix bars, and basically anything else with chocolate. However, these Chips Ahoy! Thins, Cinnamon Sugar are surprising delicious to me! I love the small white chocolate chip surprises and the fact that 4 cookies are only 150 calories!
My first thought when I saw this Strawberry & Jalapeño Fruit & Honey Spread in my Degustabox was “gross” and then I placed the spread back in the box in hopes to forget about it. However, as I sat there trying to concentrate on something else I couldn’t get this spread out of my mind. Maybe Smucker’s knew what they were doing when they paired Strawberry and Jalapeño flavors! (see below)
I decided to make baked brie with a Strawberry and Jalapeño fruit spread. Simply spread 3 TBSP of your Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Fruit Spread in the middle of 5 stacked pieces of filo dough. Place a wheel of baby brie on top of the spread. Using egg wash as “glue”, fold the corners of the filo dough until the entire wheel of brie is covered. This is will not look pretty, that is OK though since it you will flip the brie so the fruit spread side is up. Brush the top of the filo dough with any leftover egg wash.
Bake in the oven at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until the filo dough is golden brown. Serve with crackers or even a crispy baguette!
I’ll be honest, I couldn’t even try this 3 minute meal. I am already a big stickler when it comes to what I am eating so eating a 3 minute, Beef Burgundy flavored, “just add water” meal didn’t go over well with me. I really did try, I promise. I added the water, heated it in the microwave but I couldn’t muster enough courage to eat it.
I have said it before and I am going to say it again, how does Degustabox send me items that I need? This has been one heck of an end of the year quarter for R and I. We bought a house, moved our entire life (and our two fur babies) in with my momma, and have both been plagued with some pretty gnarly sicknesses. These Ricola Herbal Lozenges helped R and I get through our physically exhausting days after many sleepless nights!
YASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! I am obsessed with these crackers even though this is my first time tasting them! I was expecting to a salty taste (even though the word sweet is in the name of these crackers) but they are perfectly sweet AND salty.
As y’all know I do not have much of a sweet tooth so sometimes eating sweets when I am not seriously craving them can be difficult. Weird, right? I am telling you this so you can understand that I am not a typical “I love any and everything chocolate” person. I really enjoyed both of these chocolates.
I was hesitant that the dark chocolate and orange was going to taste too orange-ish but the orange flavor was only hinted in the biscuit. I actually really love the coconut/ chocolate combo so I was pretty delighted with that option too!
Y’all know me, I believe that cheese flavored anything must be good so I was obviously happy when I found this White Cheddar Popcorn in my December Degustabox! Full disclosure, I ate this entire bag of popcorn in TWO DAYS! I love snacking on truly low calorie foods because I don’t have the time to plan out how much of a snack I am going to be eating. This bag should read “Gluten and Guilt Free”!
I am going to be very busy for the rest of this year and don’t know how much more blogging that I will be able to do. I am excited for the new year and for many new things to come!
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
Until next time,
