This is a post that is VERY close to my heart. A month after R and I got married, R surprised me by saying we could get a dog! He always knew how much I wanted at least ONE dog but he is very allergic to dogs, so this was a very, very big deal!
I did all of my research and finally ended up on the Might Paws Animal Rescue’s Facebook page. I knew someone who had rescued a puppy through them, so I knew that they were legit. I found a really cute puppy that was up for adoption but I soon found out that she was across the state, far, far away. After a few more messages back and forth Tammy at Might Paws sent me a picture of (our now) Rex. For the most part, the rest is history because how could we resist that face?!!
Around a year after we adopted Rex we thought he would love a furry sibling. Without doing any research this time I headed straight to the Might Paws Animal Rescue Facebook page and found (our now) Pearl.
Anyways, Might Paws Animal Rescue needs our help! They started selling these t-shirts to help raise funds for vet care, food, heart worm/ flea prevention and any other necessary costs that come with saving cats and dogs. A typical vetting for puppies and kittens is around $250 and a typical vetting for grown dogs and cats is around $150. Did I mention that Mighty Paws only charges $200 for an adoption? That charge BARELY covers the costs of the initial vetting!
Might Paws is only asking for 100 of these shirts to be sold but I know that we can rally together to
make, beat, EXCEED their goal! Without these funds Mighty Paws will be very limited in the number of cats and dogs they can rescue. Let’s help clear out the shelters in Houston, ADOPT DON’T SHOP!!!
Until next time,
